Protective Floor Projector Mount: Included on 8' Studios only. A reinforced floor housing that shields the projector from mishit shots and stray bounces, letting you swing freely without second-guessing your setup.
Space Requirements

You'll want to take into account the ceiling height of your space, not just for the enclosure, but to make sure you have enough room to swing a club! The sizes of the enclosures are below:

As for the length & width of your space, the main consideration is around the launch monitor you choose. Some launch monitors sit behind you (like the Approach R10) and require a certain amount of distance to the screen. Others (like Approach R50) sit directly to the side and require a few feet of space width-wise.
System Requirements
  • Built-in Play (No Extra Device Needed): The R50’s 10-inch touchscreen comes preloaded with Garmin’s Home Tee Hero simulator, practice ranges, and games. Simply power on and play. No smartphone or computer required.
  • PC Software Use: Connect via Wi-Fi or HDMI to run third-party simulation software such as GSPro, E6 Connect, E6 Apex, and Awesome Golf.
  • iOS Devices: Compatible with iPhone and iPad for software like E6 Connect and Awesome Golf.
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth included. HDMI port available for direct display to TV or projector

The R50 is both indoor- and outdoor-capable, with IPX3 water resistance and a rugged carrying case included for range sessions.

Garmin R50 / Apple iOS Compatibility Requirements

  • iOS 13 or later
  • Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPad Pro
  • Required for apps like E6 Connect, Awesome Golf

Garmin R50 / Android Compatibility Requirements

  • At this time, Garmin does not list Android simulator software support for the R50.
  • Android users can still access the Garmin Golf app to sync stats and manage memberships, but for sim play, iOS or PC is required.
